Northcote at the Rovers

I only worked at Ewood Park for one day but i learnt and saw so much just from the the one shift that I worked. The shift that I completed started at 4pm and I left at approx 1am. When I arrived I had to change into their uniform, I was given a shirt and an apron, pen and pad. I was then assigned a box to look after for the whole day. For the day that was my box i looked after them the best i could and whatever they tipped me I got to keep. I had to get them whatever they wanted be it drink or food.

Everyones guests arrived at different times, some had finished before mine had entered the box and sat down. When my box did arrive they all sat down and ordered off a set menu, I then had to write a very neat copy of the order and take it in to the kitchen. The chef in charge was very calm and collected and was very helpful to thoose who had never worked there before as were the other girls. It was the busiest match they had ever encountered before as it was a Cup match against Liverpool. Everything had sold out!

Everything i had learn at the fishes became very handy here such as understanding the menu. There is usually a theme through the company with regards to dishes such as the Fish Pie other items on the menu i understood due to my expereience whereas in the past I wouldnt have known what they were.

I did enjoy my experience here, the service is very different to anything I have experienced before. I didnt like the way service went, it was very informal in my opinion. This is not what I would like to do in the near future, but i would be willing to come back to gain even more experience in the events side of this venue.
