Mr Nigel Haworth

 

Nigel Haworth is a very talented chef who has set a benchmark so high across the UK for other chefs. He has such respect for his local suppliers, this is the unique selling point that the Ribble Valley Inns ephashise on as well as providing the best quality service possible. 

 

Nigel trainied at Rossendale Catering College, he then went on to work in Switzerland, Gleneagles and the Grosvenor Hotel London. He finally retiurned to Lancashire to be a lecture at the same place he was inspire to become a chef, then in 1984 he was offered to be Head Chef at Northcote. He won awards for Egon Ronay Chef of The Year Award then in 1995 he was awarded a Michelin Star which is has successsfully retained to this day. 

 

Nigel has appeared on popular television shows such as Saturday Kitchen and Paul Hollywood’s Pie & Puds as well as the Great British Menu which he won in 2009.

Mr Craig Bancroft

Craig Bancroft really has so much experience behind him, he started at the bottom and worked his way to the top. For this a great number of people respect him including the many employees that work for him at Northcote or at one of the Ribble Valley Inns. This gentleman really knows his stuff.

 

He began his career as a kitchen porter in London’s Kensington Close Hotel, before taking part in the Trusthouse Forte International Management training programme, where he spent six months as chef of Grosvenor House Hotel, followed by another six months in the two Michelin star Plaza Athénée in Paris.

 

Craig continued working as part of the management team for a while before ending up as general manager at Northcote in 1983, aged just 23-years-old.

 

In 1987, his dedication was rewarded when he won The Caterer and Hotelkeeper Acorn Award, he was one of the youngest at this post around that time.
